solidarity delegation in Guatemala during spring break: march 3-11

Friends,
I'm helping organize a solidarity delegation to visit organized peasant communities struggling against imperialism in Guatemala during the first week of March. A small group of Nashville folks are already planning to go, and we would love to invite you to apply to go with us.
There are also opportunities to stay in Guatemala longer to study Spanish or get involved in longer-term human rights accompaniment, which we could talk about.
Speaking Spanish or a Maya language is a plus, but not required. We will be set up for translation. Also, we invite both interested individuals as well as people involved in community-based social movements in the US that would like to build relationships with social movements in Central America, which have a lot to teach us both about how to "occupy" and how to create sustainable alternatives once there.
