Friends,
I hope folks can come out to our first Nashville Fair Food picket at Publix this
Saturday @ Noon. The idea is to have a picket each month, each bigger than the last until Publix caves- which means the stakes aren't overwhelmingly high for this one. We had 6 people at the picket last time, so let's try to get 7 people (or more) on Saturday!
We'll have a couple hundred flyers with Katy (hopefully we can use them up on Publix customers...) as well as a few signs, a manager's letter everyone can sign, and a (real) tomato bucket.
At the picket, hopefully we'll have some new folks, so be nice to them so they'll come to our
next Fair Food meeting on July 2nd at the Workers' Dignity Project office (3753 Nolensville Pike @ 6:30 PM)
If anyone can bring sign-making materials (for new folks), offer a ride (for the car-less), or bring a camera to help document the picket and delegation to the manager, say so?
here's the facebook event: use it to invite your friends!

Publix Action: Saturday, June 23rd @ Noon @ Publix on 4324 Harding PikeBen and I thought it would make sense to meet up at noon on the sidewalk of Harding Pike, on the street side of Mo's grill, so you have a moment to group up before the picket.
Onward!
