I would like to poll the group to see how much interest there would be a Beginner / Intermediate Workshop meetup, meeting once or twice a month. My thoughts are to do a Powerpoint and / or show sample code on a topic of interest for the first half of the meeting, then open it up for questions and answers the second half.
I have contacted the new Bellevue library about using their facilities. They have two meeting rooms - one seats up to 12 comfortably, and the other can seat at least 80. Both have A/V capabilities, including projector and speakers.
What I need to know from the group is which room do we need (hopefully enough interest for the bigger one) and what day / times.
Probably order of preference for me would be 1st and / or 3rd Wednesday at 6:00, 1st and / or 3rd Tuesday at 6:00, or Saturday mornings at 10:00. I don't know yet which slots are available at the library.
If you can respond that you're interested and your preferred time slot that would help.
Thanks,
Phil Clark

I'd be interested in something that delves into intermediate to advanced
topics...but Bellevue is way too far for me. Sorry.

I'd love to be included. I encourage you to do once-a-month meetings... twice is a huge commitment from participants and organizers. During the week is easier for me than weekends.

Hi Phil
I have programmed embedded, windows, web for many many years but have never done PHP.
So I am interested in what can PHP do?
What infrastructure is required to support it?
Accessing databases, Ajax, etc. small "real world" examples, something to use as a starting point.

My evenings are free but not the weekends.

thanks
