PHP/Back-End Developer Job Opening

The PHP/Back-End Developer is responsible for creating, coding and maintaining web applications, dashboards, and custom content management systems as well as leading a growing development team.
Requirements:
- Natural leader with passion for mentoring
- Extensive experience in developing web and database-driven applications with a focus on object-orientated, client-side/server-side scripting, and third-party APIs
- Experience with rapid application development frameworks
- Experience with Laravel
- Excellent writing and organizational skills for workflow management and technical documentation
- Demonstrable experience in planning and deploying systems with complex database architectures
- An eye for good design and intuitive UI
Skills
- Thorough understanding or current Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux operating systems, and proficiency in the following tools/environments:
Required
- PHP v5, Laravel framework
- Bootstrap and/or Foundation
- HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
- CLI/SSH
- Node.js
- MySQL, SQLite
- LAMP/WAMP server configuration
- Git/Bitbucket
Helpful
- WordPress
- Expression Engine
- iOS Dev (Xcode/Xamarin)
- Android Dev
- Laravel Forge
- AWS (S3, EC2, Route 53)
Duties
- Work with development team to build dynamic, content-driven applications
- Meet with project managers and product manager to determine scope, requirements, features and proper technology for a specified project
- Integrate media and interactivity elements into production environments (may include assisting with editing graphics for use in navigational and interface)
- Conduct guided research and development on new hardware/software/languages and new innovations in relevant technology
- Communicate technical issues to project manager
- Communicate technical considerations in project meetings and discussions
- Keep daily log of project hours using in-house time-tracking system
- Proper debugging, versioning, and code documentation to aid in quality assurance
Working Relationships
The PHP/Back-End Developer reports to the Vice President of Technology.
