Anode PHP Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 
The PHP Developer is responsible for creating, coding, and maintaining web applications, dashboards, and online content management systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Extensive experience in developing web and database-driven installations with a focus on object-oriented, client-side/server-side scripting, and third-party APIs
• Working understanding of UML
• Experience with rapid application development frameworks
• Excellent writing and organizational skills for workflow management and technical documentation
• Demonstrable experience in planning and deploying systems with complex database architectures
• An eye for good design and intuitive UI

SKILLS REQUIRED:

 
Thorough understanding of current Mac OS & Windows operating systems, and proficiency in the following tools/environments:

Required:

• PHP v5, Laravel and/or Zend frameworks
• Bootstrap and/or Foundation
• HTML5/CSS/JavaScript
• Node.js, socket.io
• MySQL, SQLite
• LAMP/WAMP server configuration
  
• Git, Bitbucket
• SSL/SSH

Helpful:

• WordPress
• Expression Engine
• iOS (Xcode/Titanium)
  
• Photoshop

DUTIES:

• Work with development team to build dynamic, database-driven applications
• Meet with project managers and product manager to determine scope, requirements, features, and proper technology for a specified project
• Integrate media and interactivity elements into production environment (may include building or editing graphics for use in navigation and interface)
• Conduct guided research and development on new hardware/software/languages & new innovations in relevant technology
• Communicate technical issues to project manager
• Communicate technical considerations in project meetings and discussions
• Keep daily log of project hours using in-house time-tracking system
• Proper debugging, versioning, and code documentation to aid in quality assurance

• The PHP Developer reports directly to the VP of Technology.
