Conexess Group is actively working with a local client
to help them fill the position of PHP Developer. You will have the
opportunity to work in the healthcare industry with a laidback team of
talented developers. The healthcare industry is the largest contributor to IT
jobs in Nashville, which has been called the Silicon Valley of
Healthcare! You will be working on adding an additional web module to
a PHP application developed in-house. You will
be responsible for generating database driven user interfaces (UI) for a suite
of web sites and web applications to include Internet facing and Intranet
solutions. This position is a combination of web development and CMS
administration. Primary supported environments are written in PHP, JavaScript,
HTML, SharePoint, Drupal, and OnBase on a database platform of MS-SQL and
MySQL.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and
modify web applications based upon business needs
- Maintain portal and
CMS user security and access control
- Work with department
owners to design and maintain content sections
- Test and deploy from
development to production environments
- Administer all
intranet-based applications, monitoring user access problems and resolving
technical issues as they arise
- Perform analysis on
business needs and draft detailed requirement documents to serve as a basis for
application development
- Identify and develop appropriate lifecycle
documentation to support design, development, and deployment
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Bachelor’s degree in an application development field preferred.
- 3+ years of web development experience using PHP,
JavaScript, SQL, MS-SQL, MySQL and CSS.
- Experience building web applications connecting to
database driven content. Ability to design databases, write stored procedures
and functions, and import/export data preferred.
- Working knowledge of the complete SDLC (Software
Development Life Cycle), including analysis, design, code, and testing of web
applications.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical
documentation, test plans, and implementation plans.
- IIS and MS-Windows Server expertise. Server
environment is completely MS-Windows, no Linux/Apache.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and make
decisions based on available information.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative
environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and
professionally while demonstrating a cooperative work attitude toward fellow
employees
Preferred
Skills
- Development experience with Drupal, Joomla! or other
Open Source CMS OR Microsoft SharePoint (MOSS 2010) administration,
configuration, and maintenance of multi-server, multi-portal environments including:
modifying pages, sites, custom site definitions, creating and modifying
workflows
- Experience with Windows Workflow Foundation,
developing and managing SharePoint Libraries a plus, though not required
- Experience converting business processes and needs
into web application solutions
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office integration
capabilities
- General understanding of the Healthcare Industry a
plus
