Full time PHP developer position available

GalaxyDigital is seeking a PHP/MySQL Developer to join our growing company. Ideal candidate would be self-motivated and hard working with the ability to perform independently with minimal supervision. This is a remote-position but prefer developers in the Nashville area.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Contribute to full life-cycle application development including user requirements, specifications, design, coding, testing, documentation, etc.
* Create and enhance database structures in accordance with web application requirements
* Contribute to documentation for systems, applications and databases.
* Responsible for estimating, coordinating and delivering activities for project related deliverables.
* Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.

Job Requirements

* 4+ years development experience in a LAMP environment (Linux, Apache MySQL, PHP)
* Experience in PHP MVC Frameworks (CodeIgniter preferred)
* Strong MySQL skills
* Experience in Smarty Templating Engine
* REST based API Development
* Working knowledge of Subversion
* Ability to interact with Linux via command line
* Experience with JavaScript and jQuery
* Experience with standards-based HTML/CSS
* Ability to work remotely
* Established portfolio of work and code samples
