Todd & All, The meeting was for folks who were invited for their diehard enthusiasm, experience and continued volunteer work towards a store front coop. Todd, I am sure that you were not intentionally needling or criticizing, but that is the vibe that comes through to folks who do not know you. I am not offended by your candor. This is not time for a public meeting yet. This meeting was for the core group with the goal of exploring whether uniting our forces is feasible/possible (I personally believe it is). The core group agreed we would post the notes on both Marketplace and Nashville Food Coop Google Groups. Anyone needing more info on benefits of buying club (other than better pricing than Whole Pay Check), check out the website. Google Market Place Coop. If anyone would like to become part of the core group, e-mail one of the participants and also state why you want to be part of the core group and what you have to offer to the project. Be prepared for a lot of hard work with no pay and plenty of criticism from folks not willing to walk in your shoes. There will be a public meeting once the time is right.
