to Nashville Food Co-Op
I have said this a million times: we need to work on this together!
One person alone, no matter how much passion (s)he may have, cannot do
it.

So to those asking me" When are YOU going to start that coop?" I will
ask "When are WE going to start it, because I need YOUR help."

Homewrok time folks! This is easy.

What would you buy from an organic bulk food coop?
What would you sell to a coop?

Please be specific: if it is herbs - which herbs? spices? which
spices?

My faves:
- raw turbinado sugar
- brown rice
- arborio rice
- Dr. Bonner lavender soap
- dry green lentils
- dry orange lentils
- dry chick peas
- sea salt
- dish washing detergent
- laundry soap (we also could make our own to sell....)
- toilet paper from recycled paper, individually wrapped in paper
instead of plastic
- wole grain flour
- tamarind
- liquid aminos
- soy sauce
- knowledge: classes
- items made by local artisans, cooks
- molasses
- honey
- agave nectar
- maple syrup
- balsamic vinegar
- REALLY GOOD extra virgin olive oil

What have I not listed that you crave?

Sell to coop:
- kombucha (once there is refridgeration)
- blue balm medicinal mint (dried and plant starts)
- fresh Kentucky Coloner Mint (once there is refridgeration) - for
mojitos and mint juleps
- arts & crafts from recycled materials (once there is a gallery spot)
- my time organizing & teaching classes on this, that and the other
(esp. the other)
- my time making value added products (soup mixes, hummus, spice
blends, breads etc.)
- my time creating a cafe-restaurant-deli (down the road)

So where do we find all these products?
Well, I guess we need to do some research on that one!

If there is a product you really like, why not learn about it some
more and find a grower or maufacturerer or whole sale vendor for it?

Focus on LOCAL, folks!

If not local, then what is closest to local?

And if not local, FAIR TRADE, for sure!
