Free English tutoring by Vanderbilt student service organization

Ying Huang, a Vanderbilt junior from NJ, contacted me regarding a student service organization that offers free English tutoring to Chinese immigrants in order to empower them to adapt to the American society better by gaining the ability to express themselves comfortably using English. More specifically, the organization is called Vanderbilt Health Link, and the mission is to tutor Chinese immigrants English communication skills, with emphasis on health care communication.

Can we identify anyone who can be helped by this service organization?

Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Chinese language and culture, facilitate engagement with China and create opportunities for exchange and collaboration between communities inTennessee and China. The Institute seeks to become a hub for China-related activities and a resource center for Chinese language, history, contemporary society and culture.

With your support, we will make CIMTSU a success in providing services to the communities in Tennessee and beyond.
