Hope to see you all there today!
We're also going to need a speaker for the next one. Be thinking about
what you'd like to present to the group.
To get your creative juices flowing, I'll fire off a bunch of
buzzwords that you might be able to turn into a good Alt.Net-ish
topic:
Dependency Injection/IOC
Any number of ASP.Net MVC topics...Spark view engine,
S#arpArchitecture, McvContrib
jQuery - lots of possibilities here
Lean Software Development/Kanban (I'm considering doing one of these
in the fall, but feel free to cut in line in front of me if you feel
the urge)
Languages: F#, c#4.0, the DLR, IronRuby, IronPython
Silverlight 3
VS2010
Design Patterns
TDD, Unit Testing frameworks. Anyone using MbUnit? Others? I hear
there are a lot of new features in the newest version of NUnit, too.
and I'm sure there are many many more possibilities. Reply to this
message and add to the list of things you'd like to hear presentations
on.
Those of you that have been coming regularly know that these
presentations need not be long or formal. With a room full of Alpha-
Geeks, there's usually no shortage of discussion and opinion flying
around, and I consider that to be the best part of our Lunch and
Learns.
