Hey everyone,
We have another meet-up a week from today (May 4th). I wanted to try
something new this time around, and see how well it works. We will
have a Code Share. Everyone should (but doesn't have to) bring
something new and awesome you've been working on to show off. We'll
do 5-minute presentations each, and alternate presentations until we
run out of time or presenters.
To address last week's request for a Symfony Event presentation, both
Ryan and I will be sharing some functionality related to Symfony
Events. They call that getting "two birds with one stone", although
neither birds or stones will be present at the meet-up.
Some of us have discovered some really cool features for topics we've
already had meetups on (such as the Admin Generator, Form Framework,
and Test Framework, etc). This is a great opportunity to once again
dip into these commonly used tools and refresh our memories.
I would prefer anyone who wants to present to email me their keynotes,
powerpoints, sourcecode, etc before Tuesday at 6:00 so we won't have
to constantly unplug the projector. If you want to come entirely
unprepared, I guess that's ok too. We are developers, after all.
It should be a lot of fun, and even if it isn't, at least we'll have
beer. See you all on Tuesday!
