Hey there everyone!  I am looking for local auto salvage yards that are artist friendly.  I need to acquire some metal scrap for an art project that I would like to start in the next week.

Primarily I will be looking for a few large body panels, maybe a hood or two, some drive shafts or axles, and hinges of some kind.

If you happen to know of places where you or others have been able to successfully scavange or maybe you have your own junk yard and are willing to part with some material, please let me know.

Thanks!

I have been doing some digging since I posted this and found a couple of places that offer DIY service for grabbing parts.  Still looking for boneyards though if anyone knows of any.  I am specifically interested in highly aged and rusted large sheet metal panels.
