Hey all,
It's that time - we've started the third Bootcamp at NSS so we're getting the band back together. And you all, as graduates of NSS, are now eligible to be mentors! I'm going to invite you all to join the mentor google group so watch for that message. But here's your first mentoring-related message!
Cohort 3 started last Monday, the 9th. They are deeply into HTML/CSS and Git/Github and other fun stuff at this point and they start Javascript next Monday. We're got a new lead instructor who has been leading a Bootcamp at General Assembly in New York City - his name is Chyld Medford and he's a local guy who moved back to Nashville from NYC this past summer. We were lucky enough to be able to get him on board at NSS!
It's about time for us to hold our usual meeting to introduce the mentors and the students. We will be meeting next Wednesday, 25 September. Session will be between 8am and 10am. We'll have coffee and pastries and such as in the past. Our friends at RailYard Studios are loaning us the use of their studio again so we'll all get another look at the cool furniture they've been building. Please join us on the 25th and meet the 27 new students in the third student cohort at NSS. It's a great group of students and we've even got some furriners from alien places like England and Chicago. You'll also get a chance to meet Chyld and hear some news about our plans for the software school. So join us - Railyard Studios, Wednesday, 25 September, 0800 - 1000. We'll post the address and other logistical details on the group in the next couple of days.
Feel free to share the word about the new class at Nashville Software School and about the meetup on the 25th - we can always use some additional mentors, speakers, etc. Help us get a good crowd of mentors to RailYard Studios to meet the students.

CORRECTION - DATE CHANGE
The meetup is on THURSDAY, the 26th, NOT Wednesday the 25th. Sorry - we changed it and I forgot to change my calendar. My bad.
