Prozone Aurangabad to open on October 8


The first phase of India's first horizontally designed mall, 'Prozone Aurangabad', is all set to open on October eight in the city to deliver world class shopping experience.

Retail real estate company Prozone will be opening its first mix used property on October 8 at Aurangabad. Prozone Aurangabad is a development of over 1 million sq ft, including a shopping centre, hotel and office blocks.

Prozone claims to be India’s first horizontally designed mall (spread over ground plus first floor) and designed with a comfortable and convenient layout for ease of shopper navigation. 

Among the anchors at the mall are Tata's hypermarket format Star India Bazaar, which is spread over an area of 80,000 sq ft on a single level. Other big box retailers to open at the mall are Shoppers Stop, Westside, Pantaloons, Globus, Reliance Trends and Croma. Various fashion and lifestyle brands that will be part of the mall are Provogue, Nike, Reebok, United Colors of Benetton, Wills Lifestyle, Allen Solly, Puma, Metro, Inc 5, Regal, Walkways and Catwalk.

Apart from the retail brands Prozone will also have a 5-screen Satyam Cineplex and a food court with a seating capacity of over 700 people. Orama, a family entertainment centre, will also be present in the mall, and will cover an area of 40,000 sq.ft.

Vishal Mirchandani, president, Prozone Asset Management, stated, “Customer comfort is defined by how well kept the mall is and how safe they feel in an environment. Prozone has appointed the best-in-class service providers with the latest technologies for their housekeeping and security requirements.”

Prozone is a joint venture development between Provogue (India) Limited and Capital Shopping Centres Group Plc, the UK’s leading shopping centre developer (formerly called Liberty International Plc).


Spread over one million square feet, the mall is the first major regional shopping and entertainment centre in a Tier II city.

The company owns 9 of the top 21 regional shopping centres in the UK. Provogue is the fourth largest listed retail company on the Indian Stock Exchanges with national network of 150 stores across 70 cities and employs over 1,000 people. Nikhil Chaturvedi, Managing Director, Provogue and Prozone, said in a release ''Prozone Aurangabad has been designed with the regional community in mind. Its success is dependent on three key ingredients of value, convenience and comfort to end consumers.'' Ten escalators, multiple elevators and stairways create easy movement through the mall, supported by full power back up to ensure that none of the activities get stalled. The infrastructure allow for the arrival of over 6,000 visitors per hour and 1,500 by taxi and rickshaw alone.


The mall caters to every segment of society and houses. Tata's, Star India Bazaar, is an 80,000 square feet store on a single level.
The Food Court has a seating capacity of over 700 and offers a wide variety of Indian and international cuisines. The Entertainment Centre, spread over 40,000 square feet, houses a 4-lane bowling alley, 4-D theater, large roller coaster amongst a host of other games and activities. A 5-screen 'Satyam' Cineplex is planned to open in Phase 2.
Prozone offers more than 100 stores anchored by India's leading department and specialty retailers. Shoppers Stop, Westside, Pantaloon, Globus, Reliance Trends and Croma are opening their first stores in Aurangabad. While, Provogue, Nike, Reebok, United Colours of Benetton, Wills Lifestyle and Allen Solly will be available here.
Prozone is expected to boost local economy and tourism industry and will generate employment.


Prozone Golden Mall is envisaged as one of Maharashtra's Premier Shopping Destination. This shopping Center is spread over 10,60,00 sq.ft. area and will be constructed phase wise. Prozone Golden Mall is a joint venture with Prozone Liberty International Plc (a subsidiary of the Provogue Group) which is in the business of designing, developing and managing malls across India.


The retail development includes over 230 outlets which include Hypermarket, Specialty Fashion, Multiplex, Consumer Durables, Restaurants, Cafes , Food court & a Family Entertainment Center.

The total Construction is spread over four floors including two basements for parking. Shopping, multiplex & food court are spread across the ground and first floor.
