The 2026 ICFP Programming contest will run from July 24-July 27, which is just before our next meeting. While I consider myself retired from doing the contest, I think I may peek in on this one to see what they are doing, because this is in the description:

While ICFP is typically focused on functional programming, your TAs for this year aim to introduce you to the basics of real-world systems programming. See the course description for more on what we'll cover.

We're hard at work developing our syllabus, preparing our grading infrastructure, and making sure our editing software is ready to go. Check back here soon for more updates!
