October 8th: Microsoft Azure Programming – What’s Easy and What’s Hard? with Bill Zack

When:
Thursday, October 8th, 2015
5:30 PM

Where:
Vaco
5410 Maryland Way
Suite 110
Brentwood, TN

Canned demos can make anything look easy. And it is true that Microsoft has been making great strides lately to simplify cloud programming. But some things aren’t as easy as they could be. Join us for a presentation that will discuss what is easy, more complex and even downright hard to do with Microsoft Azure.

This will go beyond the usual Hello World/Easy Path level presentation. Topics we will cover:

• A very brief overview of Azure components

• Selecting Azure Features to develop into a solution

• Building simple two-tier web sites with Azure WebApps.

• Building more complex n-tier web applications with Cloud Services

• Rolling your own complete solutions with Virtual Machines

• Authentication simplicity and complexity

• Building hyper-scale applications with Azure Service Fabric

Food should arrive around 5:30 PM and we'll plan on starting the talk at 6pm.

Bill Zack is a Cloud Architect and leader of the Nashville Microsoft Azure Users Group. In his “day job” he a Cloud Technical Solutions Specialist working with the Microsoft Azure Product team where he provides Microsoft Azure pre-sales Architecture, design and Technical Support for Microsoft Customers and Partners. He has been working with Azure since before it was called Azure.
