Dear functional language & dynamic language folks,

There is a possibility that the conference Erlang Camp (http://erlangcamp.com/) will come to Nashville this year. I went to Erlang Camp in 2010 in Chicago and it changed me; best conference I've ever attended.

The trick now is finding a great venue in Nashville. Here's what the organizers are looking for:
    - Location should be easily accessible to restaurants and hotels
    - A room large enough to hold 100-125 people comfortably with laptops (classroom style seating is best but not required)
    - 2 days
    - Internet access for all
    - Power for all
    - Signage the day of the event at the location to tell where the room is (if needed)
    - A table to process registrants and a willing volunteer (probably the host) to man it
    - A few tables for potential sponsors to display
    - Accessible by cab from the airport

Please send me any spaces (with pros/cons) that fit the part. Also, let me know if you'd like to join me and Brad Winfrey on the grunt/ground work if it actually happens.

Thanks!
Bryan

Things that immediately come to mind:

- Entrepreneur Center -- are they still located down at 1st and
Broadway? Not sure if they have quite enough conference-type space to
pull it off though.
- Scarritt-Bennett -- has been good to us for the Ruby Hoedown, but
power and wifi leave a lot to be desired
- We had used space in the downtown Hilton (4th Ave. half a block
south of Broadway?) prior to Scarritt-Bennitt and it seemed, but I
didn't deal with them as an organizer
- Hutton Hotel -- but I've heard it's expensive; similarly presumably
Union Station Hotel is probably steep as well, but I've never
investigated it

What time of year would this likely be?

Thanks everyone! Between both groups I got a ton of good ideas (on and off the list). I'm now compiling the venues into something an out-of-towner can digest (by area, links to floor plans, proximity to good bars, etc). I'll let you know how it goes.
