Dear Colleagues,

Today, May 17, our colleague and friend - and a long-time member and active participant of NASCAS - Nikolai Seleznyov would have celebrated his 55th birthday.

Unfortunately, it's already 5 years that he is no longer with us. His untimely death in 2021 was a big loss to the scholarly community, to NASCAS, and to all of us.

Sergey Loesov, Sergey Minov, and myself co-edited a volume in his memory:

From Moscow to Baghdad: Studies on Middle Eastern Christianity in Memory of Nikolai Seleznyov

I'm happy to report that it has now appeared in the series "Texts and Studies in Eastern Christianity".

You will find the Table of Contents of the volume in the below link and attached:

I hope this volume will be a suitable homage to Nikolai, a great scholar and dear friend, and will be of interest to anyone who studies Syriac and Arabic Christianity, Semitic linguistics, and related subjects.

I take this opportunity to thank Professor Ken Parry, the editor of the series, my co-editors Sergey Loesov and Sergey Minov, and all the contributors!

Warm wishes,
Alexander
