Unified Bibliography on Christian Arabic (2000-2012)

Dear NASCAS Members,
Please find attached a unified bibliography on Christian Arabic for 2000-2012.
This bibliography incorporates and complements the one posted on the website www.christianarabic.org [which, for technical reasons, is no longer up to date]. Special thanks to John C. Lamoreaux and other NASCAS members who have contributed entries over time!
My apologies for somewhat inconsistent formating, which is due to the fact that the bibliography was prepared "manually". Steps are currently being taken to mount this up-to-date bibliography online, but this is going to take some time, and might require volunteers. In the meanwhile, please send corrections and additions to atre...@dal.ca. I hope that despite these shortcomings, the enclosed bibliography will be both usable and useful.

Dear Sasha,
Thank you so much for this marvellous and so useful contribution, and thanks to John who started this bibliography. Allow me to make two suggestions:
- It would be more practical to number each enter.
- and also to classify the entries of each person, in a chronological order.
I shall send some complements to my own bibliography as soon as possible.

Dear Father Samir, Dear NASCAS,
I'll be happy to prepare a new draft of the bibliography, with all the entries numbered as well as any new contributions included. Putting the entries under each author in chronological order might be a bit time-consuming, because it would have to be done manually (for now, I simply use the automatic alphabetization function available in Word). This bibliography is simply an intermediary stage before we can find a way to mount it (in some searchable form) online.
In the meanwhile, let me please ask all of you to review the bibliography and send me any additions you may have (as well as any point out any mistakes and typos you notice). Some people have already done so -- thank you very much! -- and these new entries will be included duly in the next update.
I should also mention that NASCAS has hit an important landmark: we now have exactly 200 members! This is a significant number indicative on the tremendous level of expertise available collectively on this mailing list. I encourage all of you to use the list with any questions on Christian Arabic and any and ideas you have.

I echo the gratitude to you for the this work that others have already voiced. With regard to the actual form of the bibliography, for the future may I suggest considering Zotero (https://www.zotero.org/): the data will then be much more malleable in that it can be arranged and exported in various forms depending on a particular user's wishes, including, for example, the feature that each item may be tagged with appropriate keywords. Traditional bibliographic lists on paper can be generated, but it offers several advantages to that traditional form in the possibilities of its use.
Two disclaimers: 1) I am in no way connected to Zotero other than as a user! 2) I am not an expert in its use: those who wish to know about it can find out in its the documentation that is available for it.

I join Father Samir and Adam in the gratitude for your work. May I suggest you use the OCLC format. I have currently prepared a draft design for the digital MSS Library not dissimilar to the WAMCP and have a special bibliographical slot there. The OCLC format will fit brilliantly.

I am sending you a first list of my bibliography on Arab Christian Literature. You will find some Corrections to what you mentioned already, and some new additions. I send them in doc and in pdf.
I will send a second list of titles dealing with Christians in the Arab World (not on Graf's authors), in the coming days.

Having a well structured, searchable, sortable and collaborative Bibliography is an important issue for research and researchers. I join the colleagues in thanking Sasha, Father Samir and all who are contributing in making this tool available. In this context I would like to contribute in making available to our group an Online Bibliographical Database where all the bibliographical entries can be consolidated and ready for use. This database has the standard features of reference managers plus the following:
Well, to make things simple, the stored items in this portal will be available to the user in different formats for citation.Having a well structured, searchable, sortable and collaborative Bibliography is an important issue for research and researchers. I join the colleagues in thanking Sasha, Father Samir and all who are contributing in making this tool available. In this context I would like to contribute in making available to our group an Online Bibliographical Database where all the bibliographical entries can be consolidated and ready for use. This database has the standard features of reference managers plus the following:
- Import formats: PubMed, BibTex, RIS, MARC, EndNote tagged and XML.
- Export formats: BibTex, EndNote tagged and XML.
- Output styles: AMA, APA, Chicago, CSE, IEEE, MLA, Vancouver.
