I will be teaching a Syriac II course January 11–15, 2027. This is a good refresher course for those who have done Syriac before, and a continuation for those who have done a year of Syriac at a university.

for your proactive engagement in promoting these important old languages.

 I am glad you include Coptic , very much overlooked in spite of an important theological ,  patristic, and hagiographic works but also and more importantly (to me who work on Late Antique Egypt) in administrative tasks  . It walked  side by side with Greek producing a rich  literary and documentary ( papyrology ) harvest . It  took over Greek from the 7th to the 10th centuries .
