Dear Colleagues,
Greetings. I hope you are well. In my research on Exod 3:14 in Arabic bible translations and commentaries (especially from the medieval period, but also spanning modern-day works), I noticed that all ancient Arab sources render ehyeh asher ehyeh as ahyah ashir ahyah (thus, a transliteration) or as أنا الازلي الذي لم ازل . I have translated this latter phrase as "I am the eternal one who does not pass away." Is this an accurate translation, or am I missing something? Thank you in advance for your contributions!
Most Sincerely,
Austin Surls
