Dear All,
I am currently trying to verify a project on Abū Nūḥ al-Anbārī and the Arabic Christian apologetic treatises attributed to him.
In his Fihris, Paul Sbath refers to three manuscripts in the private collection of al-qummuṣ Armanius Habashi / Armanios Ḥabashī, which allegedly contained works attributed to Abū Nūḥ al-Anbārī, especially:
Tafnīd al-Qurʾān
Maqāla fī al-tawḥīd
Maqāla fī al-tathlīth
As far as I have been able to determine, no other manuscript witnesses of these treatises are currently known, and the present whereabouts of the manuscripts from Armanius Habashi’s private collection remain unclear.
May I ask whether anyone on this list has any information about the fate, present location, catalogue records, or possible dispersal of Armanius Habashi’s manuscript collection? I would also be grateful for any indication concerning manuscripts or catalogue references related to Abū Nūḥ al-Anbārī, Ibn Nūḥ al-Anbārī, or related names in Arabic Christian manuscript collections.
Even a brief suggestion, bibliographical reference, or indication of whom I might contact would be of great help.
With many thanks and kind regards,
Piotr Sękowski
