Another Arabic lexeme

[Slavomír Čéplö]

Dear friends,

I have another Arabic lexeme that puzzles me and I was hoping you could provide more insight. An apocalyptic text translated from Greek includes this passage on what happens to the sinners:

وهكذا يفترقون الخطاه الي العدابات

What are these ʕadābāt? The Greek text just says "they will be completely divided".
