Dear Friends and colleagues, 

I am in need seriously of your help in getting a pdf version of the following book, if possible:
Craig Calhoun; Mark Jeurgensmeyer and Johnathan VanAntwerpen (eds), Rethinking Secularism, Oxford University Press, 2011

I am not attached to any library at the moment as I am in a between-jobs situation. But I need  to look at this text in order to finish working on a paper I prepare for a conference. I shall be extremely grateful if anyone of you can help out in this matter and ASAP

Please find below a call for papers (“Of Priests and Sufis") which might be of interest to this group.

The conference will take place in Cairo at IDEO on June 6-7. It is organized by Riccardo Paredi, a Marie-Curie Global fellow, within a project on Sufism between the Catholic University of Milan and New York University in Abu Dhabi, under the supervision of Bilal Orfali and myself, and Luke Yarbrough for the secondment at UCLA.

Dear Professors,
I am pleased to share with you the Call for Papers for the international conference “Of Priests and Sufis: Revisiting Catholic Scholarship on Islamic Mysticism,” to be held at the Dominican Institute for Oriental Studies (IDEO) in Cairo, 6–7 June 2026.
The event is part of the MSCA Horizon Europe Project 2024–2027 – SEMENSUF (Seminal Sufism in Motion), within which I am a Global Fellow at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart (Milan) and NYU Abu Dhabi (UAE), under the supervision of Prof. Martino Diez and Prof. Bilal Orfali.
The conference will examine the history, methods, and implications of Catholic scholarly and theological engagement with Islamic mysticism.
Attached you will find:
– the Call for Papers in English and Arabic
– the Call for Abstracts (poster version) in English and Arabic, for wider circulation on social media
I would be grateful if you could also share these materials with colleagues and researchers who might be interested.
