Dear All,

Is there a study concerning (or are there illustrative examples of) "Jaziran" identity in N. Mesopotamia via Syriac Christian texts?  Studies in any language welcome.

Best Wishes,
Rodrigo

Dear Rodrigo,

I can suggest the following studies:

You might also look in Jack Tannous,  The Making of the Medieval Middle East: Religion, Society, and Simple Believers, which also discusses hagiographic sources which are of relevance for your question, some of them having been edited and translated just recently.

Best wishes
jonathan
