Hello dear Nascas community,

I am looking for someone who reads Syriac to work on a couple of fragments very likely from printed books (not manuscripts) reused in the binding of some 17th-century volumes.

I will deal with the Arabic fragments and a colleague from the UK - an Italianist - who discovered the reuse of these Oriental texts  will also be involved as a co-author.

It is not an extensive work but it is a nice trouvaille that deserve attention in the spirit of the Italian Genizah of Hebrew mss  (https://brill.com/display/book/edcoll/9789004470996/BP000013.xml?srsltid=AfmBOorg-6fs7zmi6pArsQ8znlCYgepNep-wRgxD8mLvt2Qx3yE-OImn) - to give you a touch

Anyone fancy joining us?

We have the images HR of all the fragments and the text is destined to the journal Fragmentology
as a sequel of an already published contribution on the same collection but devoted to Latin fragments

Thank you!
Best wishes
Arianna
