Dear NASCASiyyūn,

I thought I would send everyone a quick note that NASCAS has hit a new
symbolic milestone, 700 subscribers. The collective expertise of the
members of this list -- all of you -- is enormous. Each and every one
of us has benefited from the ongoing exchange of ideas, information,
and publications facilitated by NASCAS and generously shared by
friends and colleagues.

It is wonderful to see that our community (launched seventeen years
ago, in 2009) is thriving, which I think is a testimony to growing
interest in Middle Eastern Christianity generally and Arabic
Christianity in particular.

I use this opportunity to extend my deep gratitude to all of you.

Warm wishes,
Alexander Treiger

And thank you, Sasha, for starting it :-)

All the best,

Dear Professor Treiger,

Congratulations on this wonderful milestone, and thank you for creating and nurturing such an extraordinary community over the past seventeen years.

I am a member of several academic and professional groups, but NASCAS is truly unique in both the depth and breadth of its discussions, as well as in the consistently respectful and collegial atmosphere that characterizes every exchange.

That culture reflects the high standards you established from the beginning and have continued to foster, together with the remarkable scholars and colleagues who make up this community.

Thank you for your vision, leadership, and dedication. NASCAS has been an invaluable resource for so many of us, and I am grateful to be part of it.

Every blessing!

Ayman S. Ibrahim, Ph.D.
