for students in the Motorsports Management program, allowing them to

Richmond Gage, program head for Motorsports Management at the school.
The program eventually plans to build an engine and transmission for
the car and also use it for show purposes at college and community

Knaus named WYPALL Wipers Crew Chief of the Race at Fontana: Chad
Knaus, crew chief for the No. 48 KOBALT Tools/Lowe's Chevrolet driven
by reigning champion, Jimmie Johnson, has been named the WYPALL Wipers
Crew Chief of the Race following Sunday's Auto Club 500 at the Auto
Club Speedway in Fontana, California. After a disappointing finish in
Daytona last week, Knaus and his team were determined to come back
from the west coast with a win, and they did just that with the driver/
crew chief tandem scoring the 48th win of their career. he right move
came just seconds before the 6th caution of the day. The Knaus-led
team was running in the top 16 on lap 172 and Knaus called his driver
to pit road for service of four tires and fuel. Johnson was on pit
road when Brad Keslowski came into contact with David Reutimann
bringing out the final caution of the race. When the rest of the lead-
lap cars pitted under the yellow, Johnson inherited the lead and
restarted on Lap 231, holding off Kevin Harvick during a 20-lap green-
flag run, eventually finishing first. "Chad made a great call to come
in there at the end," Johnson said. "We hit pit road, and the caution
came out and gave us track position." "What a great comeback after
their problems in Daytona," said WYPALL Wipers crew chief
representative, Jeff Hammond. "Chad made a strong statement by showing
that they may get down but they're never out. As the defending
champion, things should only get better for Chad, Jimmie and this
entire team." WYPALL* Wipers Crew Chief Results Todd Berrier, Jeff
Burton and the No. 31 CAT team led the 43-car field for 46 laps, the
most laps led of the day. However, Johnson took over the lead position
following the 6th caution. Johnson stayed on the racing surface while
Burton led the field down pit road. Time eventually ran out for Burton
