The Narwhal and Jack 0.1 announcement was some time ago now, and I'm
wondering if we can plan a 0.2 release, and perhaps even a roadmap
detailing the oustanding work and ideas.

Yeah we should try to speed up the release cycle.

I think there's sufficient new features / improvements for a 0.2
release.

Any major pending bugs etc?

Perhaps we should wait until the tusk/packages settle?

Tusk is not going to settle soon. We should go forward with a 0.2 and
compile release notes for what has already landed.

I think the following are the parts of narwhal that need the most work

I would really love to see Christoph's excellent tusk-catalog work make
it into 0.2. I believe Christoph thinks it will be mostly stable by the
end of this month.

Also, if you think we will see significant start up time improvement it
would be great to see it in 0.2

Also, color in the unit tests, and 98 more of them.

The tusk stuff could be a 0.3 release in its own right.

There's plenty of stuff already for 0.2 imo

These seem like enough changes for 0.2

 * JNA added for full "system" function support in Rhino

please don't forget to make this on-demand (memoize) to make compatible with AppEngine.

Already done.

tusk-catalog will not be ready for a while. I need more feedback on
people's use-cases and ideas/preferences.

So far I have focused on what I need while thinking about everything
else and making sure the underlying architecture can accommodate it.

I have spent very little time on the beauty of the CLI and convenience
features which I can bring in now that I can run tests for workflows.

Bump.

Well, 2 months have passed, and a lot more work has been pushed!

Perhaps we need a workflow to hatch a release?

Let's just pick an old ref and bless it as 0.2-rc1. Nothing dangerous
has gone in recently. We're deliberately holding back my refactor and
Christoph's using-packages.
