Freezing....

Hi all....The sim has functioned flawlessly until just now. The screen freezes, FPS goes from 22 to 1! It

 comes back, then freezes again. Would uninstalling and re-installing work and if so do I lose all my Canal Karma?

sorry to hear.

If you are speaking of android. Then yes, uninstalling and reinstalling will let you lose your canal karma.

"Just now", does this relate to the update to 1.9? Or did it also run flawlessly on 1.9 until now?

Which phone/tablet are you using?

Personally, I have doubts that re-installing (except maybe  the old, previous version) helps much with the problem.

Phones, even tablets might throttle down if they get too hot. But that isn't this drastic, normally.

You can try to play with the performance options (Options -> Performance):

- Disable "Automatic Visibility". Then adjust "Visibility" down to 80 (for a start).

If that doesn't help:

- Pull "Shadow Range" all the way to 0.

If even that doesn't help:

- Enable "Half Display Resolution"

My guess is that "Automatic Visibility" may be a cause. Because it gets active around 20fps and automatically reduces how far away things are drawn.

I've seen some errors on the game during testing. Naturally, this wasn't among them.

Just a small followup. In the Pontcysyllte Area there is some "visibility management" when you enter/leave the range of some areas. This may cause the game to run less fluent for a few seconds (depending on the device performance). But this shouldn't happen all the time.
