[Mozilla México] Manage many linguistic derivations in Narro

Hi Alexandru.

We have a situation, as I told you, in Mexico there are many linguistic derivations from a language, we start working in Narro only with one derivation per language:
Zapotec (https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro/narro_project_list.php?l=zap-MX-diiste)
Mayan (https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro/narro_project_list.php?l=myn-MX)

In the case of the Mayan project, there's no problem because there are just a few differences between all it's derivations, that's the reason because the language code is "myn-MX" without dialects.

The Zapotec project have a lots of derivations, not all of them will be translated, in this case we'll need to see a difference in the name of the projects, for example; the current Zapotec project's name is "Zapotec" so, it should be: "Zapotec (<derivation code>)" and so on.

The last week I had a meeting with an Institute of the Mexican Goverment called "National Institute of Indigenous Languages" (http://www.inali.gob.mx) and they are implementing a new unique code for each linguistic derivation and Mozilla Mexico will be using those codes for our localizations, so, I need your help again:
The actual "Zapotec" project name should be changed with "Zapotec (OT19745)" and it's language code too; "zap-MX-OT19745" (sorry for the inconvenients Alexandru but, believe me, it's necessary :¬| and it is the last change about language codes)

In this moment there is another localization team ready to start working in the Tarahumara linsguistic derivation.
So, I want to request to you this new Firefox project please:
Project name: "Tarahumara (Y08703)"
Language code: "tar-MX-Y08703"
Reviewers username: TheKiken, ricardo_meza

Hi Ricardo,

I'm just curious :) Can't you use the ISO codes as suggested on Mozilla Wiki? [1]. For ex, I see a list of Zapotec ISO 639-3 codes on wikipedia [2].

Yes, It's possible, but, those codes don't match with our reality and the new code made from the INALI are more exact and updated.

In the Mozilla Wki we have:
abc-XY-dialect
and the code dialect can be:
"dialect" - following the rules from RFC 4646 (5 to 8 letters; or a number followed by three letters or numbers)

So, the INALI code is less than 8 letters :¬°

I renamed the Zapotec language name and language code, did an export
of Firefox 3.5b4pre, everything seems fine.
I added Tarahumara (Y08703) and roles for TheKiken, ricardo_meza.

I leave it up to you to import existing translations in Tarahumara (Y08703).
You can export from whichever project you want, download the archive,
unpack it, rename the directory tar-MX-Y08703, create an archive and
upload it into Tarahumara.
Let me know if something is not working.

I exported files from es-MX, unpack it, rename the file to tar-MX-Y08703, pack again and import into the tarahumara (Y08703) project but I don't see the exported texts, I forgot to do something? I want to learn how to do this, so, please let me do it by my self ;¬D

Something is not clear to me, you said you imported than you said that
you don't see the exported texts.

Looking at https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro/narro_project_list.php?l=tar-MX-Y08703
I see Firefox 3.5b4pre is at 90%, so I guess your import was a
success.

Did you import by uploading and you did not see your imported texts afterwards ?

I'm confused, I finished the translation of Firefox3.5b4pre es-MX, then exported, unpack and rename it to tar-MX-Y08703, then I imported it to the Tarahumara (Y08703) project, in that day, I could not see the results but to day, I can see texts imported but it is not complete, I mean, the 100% of texts exported from es-MX :¬°

Well, you found a bug: http://code.google.com/p/narro/issues/detail?id=128
You could upload the project files, but you couldn't add data in the
database. The files were there and were picked up by the nightly
import process.

I'll provide a fix for this soon.
