Hello TOTES friends!
I invite you to browse my photos from September 17, 2010 planting of a
native New England rain graden outside Vartan Gregorian School at Fox
Point in Providence overlooking India Point Park and the Providence/
Seekonk Rivers leading into Narragansett Bay. Along with generous
parent volunteer, Kris Bradner and assisted by Steve, and in
preparation for National Estuaries Day, our enthusiastic students with
special needs spent a wonderful afternoon preparing the soil, digging,
planting, watering, exploring, questioning, sharing, and learning
about plants native to our area. In addition, we created a rain
garden to help provide a more healthy environment for the plants.
This TOTES stewardship will allow the children, staff, families and
neighbors to enjoy this beautiful garden as they stroll through
historic Fox Point in Providence.
Vartan Gregorian parents, teachers and students really "DIG" science!
THANK YOU TEACHERS ON THE ESTUARY!
