I do think MK/KT was "god-like". He had all the resources, and he never died. All the people who were loyal to him (women and men) committed their lives to him after he "saved" them, and many of them were willing to die for him. But he even said it himself in the beginning that he is not a god. His sister also brings that up during one of their conversations that he should not punish with death because he is not a god... and I think the point is that he is just a man after all. A man unlike any other, but still... a man. After falling from his "throne" at the mid-way point (epi 12), the drama got a lot more realistic and emotional. Starting from epi 11 where he started thinking about his sister, and also got wounded for the first time (stabbed)... it was the beginning of showing us that he is just human. Personally, I really liked this transition in the drama, and I enjoyed both parts even though they seem so different looking back at it now.
