I tried to install Kaspersky trial version after I saw strange behavior in my pc and after checked my pc I found many files infected by "virus.win32.renamer.j"
* and my questions here:
-First Is this kind of virus " Renamer" is a real virus or just cracked file or malicious software as I saw many infected files is already ( keygen , crack or even patch) files.
- Second What is the effect for that kind of virus ( not all viruses at general)
So overall if your using Kaspersky to clean a so called "renamer.virus.j" either disinfect those files, or if not possible just delete, remove or uninstall them and reinstall a fresh copy. Then use Kaspersky to block incoming or future renamers.
We are using column rename extensively in KNIME. The lack of an automatic update/upgrade from the deprecated column rename node to the new column renamer node creates hours of tedious and error prone manual work. It seems strange and not very user friendly that such a simple node is not automatically upgradeable from versions prior to 5.
I like it better than any other file renamer I've tried, partially because it integrates with right-click unlike any others I've tried. I also like XFCE, but there are several bugs in Xubuntu and/or XFCE that I keep running into that have forced me away from it.
Because it's such a new thing, i can't really find tutorials online... and i do not understand very well the concept of makefiles and stuff like that. Has anyone installed it/tested it? I would like to stop installing Thunar just for the bulk renamer!
The purpose of this group initially was to allow users who were experienced bureaucrats on individual projects to help with the global renaming process, when, as a part of the SUL finalization, renaming rights were removed from bureaucrats. This was supposed to allow the workload of global renames to be spread out more evenly, and also to draw on the experience of these global renamers from their home projects to prevent account renaming to usernames which violate individual project policies. Global renamers should focus on requests from their home wiki, with the potential to expand to requests from other projects as they gain experience with global renaming.
As time passes and previous bureaucrat experience is no longer relevant to renaming, then this scope should not restrict other users from becoming global renamers as current community consensus decides.
Membership in the global renamers group can be granted to users who request it on Steward requests/Global permissions. These requests will run for at least two weeks, and require consensus for promotion and a support margin of at least 80%.
Global renamer rights can be removed immediately by a steward in the case of abuse or serious misuse, after which a request for comment must be filed. In other cases, a request for comment can be filed, and the rights removed by a steward if it is closed with consensus for that course of action. Their rights will also be removed when they have not taken any action with the rights within a year. They may re-apply through the regular process.

I have Bulk File renamer which gives options for Regex, but I don't know how to go about this. Any suggestions? I'm also open to using different tools or even methods if Bulk File Rename isn't the best option.

I would like a similar renamer for movies. I was using an old version of filebot that renames the file, but does not do the metadata 'Title' tag. I know that this is a paid product now. I had a quick look at radarr but that seems to need a named folder and also i have my movies slightly differently for example /Movies/Star Wars - Collection/moviename.mkv. So radarr doesnt seem to work for me. Just wondered what people use? I don't need a download/sorter just a renamer.

So, for now, i'm trying to create a script that allows me to make a selection and quickly name the clip based on prompts. Maybe their is a middle ground where it has a toggle switch that enables the batch clip renamer's ability to automatically increase the take number if say I select 10 clips that are all the same Scene Number and Line Number.
