Community should move with each micro whereas RedHat supported products support specific versions.

And the meaning of "support" is "best effort response from the whole community to questions and bug reports".

I'll raise a PR to update the README, then we can discuss it further in the community over there.

Just in case anyone makes the wrong inference, RedHat supported products have their own definition of support.

I raised a pull request which adds a clarifying note for this topic. You're welcome to add comments to it.

I merged it, but if anyone wants updates then the issue tracker can be re-opened.

Hi Michael, thank you for the responses.

My apologies, I am not sure if I understand what your comments mean. I am assuming that Narayana versions are RedHat supported. However, I am not sure what that means in terms of their support.

We are currently running Narayana v5.11.4, and wanted to understand end of support, and upgrade paths to versions 6/7.

If you are using Narayana standalone then there are no formal support guarantees.

If you are using a RedHat supported product that bundles Narayana such as Red Hat JBoss EAP, for example, then the level of support depends upon which product you are using and you would need a subscription to get that support.

Amith, would it be possible for you to provide some details about how you are using Narayana, for example have you integrated it into another piece of software such as an application server etc.

we are using the  Narayana recovery manager and  Narayana XA transaction manager for updates to MQ and the DB2 database.

I am trying to get more details.

The previous feedback provided from Michael should be sufficient to mark this thread as resolved which I will go ahead and do. If you have more questions, Amith, please feel free to continue the discussion.
