Collaborative Support Programs of NJ (CSPNJ), a peer led not-for-profit organization, seeks qualified Support Worker to join regional team. The position is full-time for 37.5 hours per week and benefits eligible. Responsibilities: Support Worker will provide direct social services to 10 to 12 residents in our supportive housing program. Support Worker will assist persons’ in recovery to re-establish valued roles in the community. Work in a variety of ways to promote self-sufficiency. Must have excellent time management skills and be able to work in a team setting and self-motivated to work independently in the field. Individual will have strong writing skills and be able to complete accurate and timely documentation as required by funders. Qualifications: Bachelors in Social Work or related field and 1 year work experience working in a residential setting –OR- equivalent. Excellent written and verbal skills, strong assessment skills and organizational skills are required. Ability to manage crisis; strong computer skills and valid drivers’ license and acceptable driving record is required. Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation models a plus. Responsibility: The Community Wellness Center Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating and overseeing operations and activities at an assigned center. A Community Wellness Center is a peer run community support opportunity where mental health consumers can gather for socialization, mutual support and recovery and wellness oriented programming. Centers assist members in expanding their options for employment, resource acquisition, wellness activities and recreation. Qualifications: H.S. diploma or equivalent plus 2 years’ experience in Self Help group management or equivalent. Responsibility: Under the direction of the Hospital Services Coordinator, the Community Liaison will direct daily operations and staff at the Peer Recovery Center at a state psychiatric hospital and work with CSPNJ community and hospital staff to help assure a continuum of peer support for consumers in the hospital and returning to the community. Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, working from residential site offices with tasks as assigned including scheduling and review of documentation. Completes evaluations of service recipients according to CSS regulations. Assists with coordination of service planning for enhanced services. Plans and provides ongoing and progressive direct intervention, both classroom and community-based to service recipients according to the ethics and practices of psychiatric rehabilitation. May be assigned intensive case management tasks. Mutual self-help, assistance in economic and social adjustment, integration of activities of daily living and development of a sound recovery program. Qualifications: Master’s Degree Social Work or in related field with one or more years of working in residential setting. Candidate must have NJ License Professional Counselor (LPC) or License Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credentials. Excellent written and verbal skills, strong assessment skills and organizational skills are a must. Ability to manage crisis; strong computer skills; valid NJ drivers’ licenses and acceptable driving record is required. Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Professional (CPRP) preferred.
