Greetings Peer Support Community,
The 7th Annual National Peer Support Conference is now just eight short
weeks away and we're kicking into high gear with our preparations! After
reviewing a large number of great workshop proposals we have
selected a line-up of enriching topics - including establishing National
Practice Guidelines, peer support in the VA (a special track), peer
support in corrections, peer support in substance use and dual recovery,
storytelling, and much more.
Want to get the word out about your innovative peer specialist program or
initiative? Why not advertise with us? Check out the exhibitor /
advertising guidelines on our home page at www.naops.org.
Plans for some exciting pre-conference institutes are now being finalized
and will be announced next week in our full newsletter after the July 4,
holiday. Plan to arrive on Monday, August 26th and stay
through Thursday, August 28th to take full advantage of
these exciting additional events. Attached is a flyer with workshop
topics for the National Conference (August 27 and 28) and the hotel and
travel information for you to take advantage of the early bird
rates. Additional information about the program will be posted as
soon as it is available at www.naops.org.
