Dear Peer Supporter Community Member,
It’s hard to believe the 7th Annual Conference is just 2-1/2 months away!!
Extended Call for Workshops
We received many workshop proposals and appreciate the high quality of all the submissions. The selection process is underway and the program will be established within a few weeks. We anticipate notifying those who submitted proposals whether or not they have been accepted by the end of June.
Due to repeated requests for advanced level workshops in targeted areas, the selection committee has asked us to invite additional proposals in the following areas:
· Peer support for substance use and mental health issues (integrated approaches)
· Peer support for youth and families
· Peer support for veterans
An updated workshop presenter form is attached to this news brief. Proposals in these three areas will be accepted until June 11, 2013.
Call for Sponsors/Exhibitors
If you are part of an organization that would like to be a sponsor or have an exhibitor table at the conference, let us know! We have a limited amount of exhibitor space available and will accept advertisements in our promotional materials and conference program. A conference flyer and exhibitor/sponsor form is attached to this news brief. Help us spread the word!

Scholarship Applications
We received many applications for SAMHSA scholarships and wish to thank all who applied. With the government sequestration, funding for the scholarships is still uncertain. We will provide updates as we get them.
