is offering a new peer specialist training on March 18-22, 2013.
FREE AND OPEN TO HTH GRADUATES
On March 18-22, 2013, Community Access will be the host for a pilot test of a peer specialist training developed by the International Association of Peer Supporters (iNAPS) for the SAMHSA Recovery to Practice project. Because it is the pilot (first field test) of a new training, it is being offered free of charge to participants.
A limited number of seats are available for graduates of the Howie the Harp Advocacy Center who have been working or volunteering peer support services for at least one year. Formerly incarcerated graduates and/or those with exposure to the Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) are also encouraged to apply.
