Hi

I am evaluating NAppUpdate for use in our apps.

One of the things that has stuck me is that probably it would not be possible to update NAppUpdate.Framework.dll itself.

This is because updater.exe also depends on this dll and FileUpdateTask is infact inside the dll project.

Kindly confirm.

Best Regards
Abhishek

It is possible to update NAU itself, this is part of the library design

Many thanks for your reply.

Can you kindly describe (very briefly) how this is achieved?

Best Regards

By executing the actual update process as a separate process, doing a cold update, using other files (the ones from your app folder are being copied to a temporary path and executed from there)
