Six months ago I have launched a web site of NAPO Pakistan.This is the
first
website on O&P from Pakistan.The basic idea was to unite and start
communication between the Pakistani O&P professionals and
transformation of
information with a platform where they can come freely to loud their
voices.The response of alI was excellent.I am thankful to all those
fellows
and seniors who have encouraged me at that time to now. With their
guidance
and help we are here to see a new start of O&P in Pakistan,in the form
of a
small get together in Peshawar on 12 Nov 2006.
But some thing that makes me uncomfortable,It seems to me that we are
diverting ourselves to some where else,
-Its not the time to start politics in our profession.Its not only a
simple
get together where we will gather and then get seats just to write with
our
names on visiting cards.Its a responsibility to recognise and fulfil
our
duties.
-Its the time to welcome the new ones and honour our seniors.
-Please keep this forum away from provincial and personal
clashes.Justthink who will strengthen our
profession.Our professional strength means our success.
-There will be Seniors and juniors and it will be the best time to
communicate among each other.Dont hesitate to express your views and
ideas
to others.
-We should recognise the services of those professionals who are
serving O&P
from very long time.
Some Suggestions to the organisers of that function:
As I am not too senior to advise but just want to give some suggestions
to
the organisers of that function.
1) There should be a CENTRAL body ,four PROVINCIAL and one FEDERAL
committees.
2)Provincial committees will work in their provinces and will be
responsible
for all activities and work under the plan of Central board.So their
will be
no politics between the provinces.Every provincial body will work
freely and
effectively.
3)The representatives from the provincial committees will also include
in
the central board to represent their side.
4)Their must be an ADVISORY Committee who should consist of experienced
and
senior Professionals to guide,advise and recommend issues to implement
on
request of central body.
5)Representation of those professionals who are working outside country
should be included.
Best of luck to Dr.Bakhat Sarwar sahib and his team to arrange such
event.
