All India Feminist Alliance (ALIFA) of NAPM has been engaging on the issue of Gendered Disenfranchisement through SIR since it was initiated in Bihar. This is the second webinar in the series which will have speakers from the 5 states/UT, where SIR has been completed and elections have been announced for April,
The speakers have worked in enabling persons from marginal communities, women, LGBTQAI+ persons to get included in SIR .
The aim of the Webinar is to share with each other the experience of process and inclusion/exclusion of women and LGBTQAI+ communities in SIR.
Further we hope to think of ways ahead to enable inclusion of the several lakhs excluded from the voter list as a result of SIR.
