Create a playlist with the same name in Rekordbox, then select all the included tracks in Traktor playlist and drag them to the Rekordbox playlist (more info here: -to-move-tracks-from-traktor-to-rekordbox-578235). ;-)
What we want to do is transfer it from the DJ software to Apple Music and Spotify applications. For this purpose, can we export it as an m3u file and import it into apple music? Is there no need for intermediary software?
There was a misunderstanding here. My goal is not to play music on Apple Music. Finding the same songs on the Apple Music platform according to their names and preparing a playlist using Apple Music files. It's like creating a list on Apple Music.

If you have accounts on these platforms, you can directly access your music library on rekordbox. Also, the tracks you purchased from iTunes can be imported into rekordbox without hassle. If you want to know how to do that, you can directly go to Part 5 to get more details.

Q: "Hi, today I subscribed to Apple Music thinking I'd be able to use the music in my DJ software 'Pioneer Rekordbox' but noticed that the files are protected. Is there a way around this, like subscribing to match to override the protection or is that not possible? I've read this somewhere but I'm not convinced it will work and if it does 'how'? Thanks in advance!"
No. You cannot use Apple Music on Rekordbox directly due to the copyright protection put on Apple Music tracks. All Apple Music content including its downloads is encoded in a special M4P format (protected AAC), only available on its music app and supported devices. It is a pity that Rekordbox is out of the supported device list.
As stated in Part 1, all the music files of Apple Music are under copyright restriction so they can't be transferred to non-supported Rekordbox for playback. Therefore, it is inevitable to use a third-party tool to get rid of the limitations of Apple Music and convert Apple Music tracks to Rekordbox-compatible audio formats.
Here, AudFree Apple Music Converter is the best helper for you. It is designed to convert all content of Apple Music to multiple formats. Does Rekordbox work with Apple Music? No. Rekordbox only works with these streaming music services, including Beatport, Beatsource, SoundCloud, and Tidal. These services allow you to access and stream millions of songs directly within the Rekordbox software. As for other streaming music services, you can't use them directly on Rekordbox. When you try to import downloaded Apple Music tracks to Rekordbox, you will also fail because Apple Music tracks are encoded in a special M4P format that is not compatible with Rekordbox.
But don't worry, here we want to show you how to convert Apple Music/iTunes music to Rekordbox-compatible format files, and then you can import the converted music files stored locally on your computer to Rekordbox. Read on and learn the best way to import Apple Music to Rekordbox for mixing.
There is an iTunes option on Rekordbox on Windows and Mac computers. So, you can easily browse your iTunes playlists on Rekordbox. However, only unprotected tracks are supported. As for protected music, you can skip to Part 2 to find a solution.
The reason is that Rekordbox only supports copyright-free music in MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC, ALAC or AIFF formats. However, except for purchased iTunes music (AAC format), other tracks you import from Apple Music are copyright protected in the M4P format. Therefore, the problem of format incompatibility arises. To solve this problem, you need to convert Apple Music/iTunes music to a format supported by Rekordbox. Thankfully, DRmare Audio Converter can easily convert Apple Music, iTunes music, Audible books, etc. to MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC, M4A or M4B.
With DRmare Apple Music Converter, the original sound quality and all metadata information will remain intact, making it easier for you to manage your music files. Plus, the conversion speed is up to 30x faster, so you can get your Apple Music tracks as Rekordbox-compatible files as quickly as possible.
Why You move music?Since I created my music library in 2014, it is on the same drives in same places - never moved, just updated with new music.Organise and then You will never have to change location of Your music.
We have broken down the basics of the software in this video tutorial. There are a few different ways you can physically get the music onto your preferred device, however here is the quickest and most convenient.
Tip* If you already have music organised into playlists in iTunes then you can open the iTunes tab in Rekordbox, right-click on each playlist and import to the collection that way. If you have crates in Serato/Traktor then you can drag and drop from either straight into Rekordbox.
After importing music to your collection, it is worth organising it into playlists within Rekordbox. To create a playlist, right-click on the playlist header in the left-hand navigation and create a playlist.
You can import any music from your USB device onto any computer or laptop running Rekordbox, along with all the saved hot cues and track preparation. To do this plug your USB device in, navigate to the Devices panel within Rekordbox, right-click any playlist and select Import.

Hi, i bought the xdj-rx2 yesterday and i am trying to get my head around rekordbox. I have been using traktor for years and have an external usb drive with more than 1 tb of music on it. What is the easiest way of getting that to work with th rx2? Copy to different drive and then copy it from one drive via export or synch? I want all my music and not just a couple of playlists. Is that possible?
Thanks,
jerry
Hey, the best thing to do would to either keep all your tracks where they are but buy another external drive for DJing with. You can then drag and drop all your music into Rekordbox from your current drive/library for analysis. After analysis use either the sync manager to export playlists or select all in the collection, right click and export to your new drive. Therefore you will have a back up of your music library as well as a working drive for DJing with.
As far as the usb works with Rekordbox it will never show the playlists when exploring your USB in the finder on a mac or in devices on windows. The playlists show up when the USB is plugged into a Rekordbox ready player from Pioneer. The hardware organises the music in all those artist sub folders into the different playlists etc.
This could well the case yes. The best way to double check that your music is on your device is to open your device in rekordbox and click on all tracks, or click to open the playlists tab in your device. This will show you exactly what is on your device and which playlists are there.
