Notice for Recruitment of Ph.D. Students at Nanomaterials and Systems Laboratory, School of Engineering, Jeju National University, Korea
We invite outstanding students to apply for the PhD positions available at our Lab Nanomaterials and Systems Laboratory, School of Engineering, Jeju National University which is located in Jeju Island, South Korea, under the supervision of Prof. Kim Sang-Jae.
The Prospective students will carry out research in the field of Energy harvesting, Storage based materials and devices for Self-powered Sensors/systems. The laboratory also focuses on multi-disciplinary research. Further, we work on energy harvesting systems (Nanogenerators), Energy storage systems (Supercapacitors, Batteries, Hybrid capacitors and Self-charging power cells), and Self-powered Bio sensors.
High preference will be given to students who already have international research publications.
The selected student would register his/her Ph.D. from March 2021.
We Offer:
ü Fully funded Ph.D. admission and registration fee.
ü Living expenses of approx: 1,000,000 KRW (approx.: 820 USD) per month.
Requirements:
ü Excellent academic performance (Both UG and PG degree marks should be above 80 % or above 8 CGPA which is highly mandatory). If not, your application will not be processed.
ü Students with background from Materials Science/Physics/Chemistry/Nano Science/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Bio-nanotechnology/ Biotechnology and Polymer sciences.
ü Very good English language skills and ability to write research manuscripts
ü Candidate should have a valid Passport now.
ü One or two Prior Publications in International Journal is desirable
