Dear All,
Thank you for attending the NanoEducators Quarterly Forum on November 29. We had a great discussion! Dr. Pooja Gupta shared the photolithography lesson plan she implemented in her high school classroom. Dr. Mariel Kolker then did a walkthrough of various nanotechnology online resources available to teachers and shared her curated list of vetted PK-12 resources with the group.
If you haven't already, be sure to view their presentation and/or the slide decks. The Zoom recording, their slide deck and materials, and other resources can be found here. The link also includes recordings of past sessions and other resources that have been previously discussed.
The next NanoEducator Forum will be held on January 31 at 6:30 p.m. ET. In this session Tom Pennell, from the Cornell Nanoscale Facility (CNF), will discuss the many ways he can enable you to bring nanoscience into your classroom. Tom offers both in-person and virtual demos and has created simple demo kits covering a wide range of nanoscience examples that align with the curriculum! The CNF has created a virtual cleanroom experience that will give your students a firsthand look at what it's like to work in a cleanroom. Most of these activities are offered at no cost to educators!
With a continuous stream of new kits in development, this is a great resource for educators who share Tom's passion for the world of the incredibly small!
Tom will give away free demo kits to interested teachers who join the live session, do not miss out! Register here! A flyer is attached.
Finally, make sure you do not miss future nanoscience events and resources, join our Google group.
I hope to see all of you on January 31!
Happy Holidays!
Maria Fernanda
