Dear All,
Thank you for registering for the NanoEducators Quarterly Forum on Feb. 26!
The group welcomed Margaret Billingsley (Postdoctoral Fellow, MIT) and Christine Pace (Educational Outreach Coordinator, Koch Institute, MIT). Dr. Billingsley provided an overview of the field of nanomedicine, focusing on the design and uses of different nanomaterials for the treatment of diseases. Ms. Pace, a former teacher herself, discussed how to make this content accessible to students at all levels by creating engaging lessons and programming. She also shared different resources available for students and teachers through the Koch Institute at MIT.
The session’s recording, slides, and other resources can be found here. The link also includes recordings and resources from past sessions.
Do not forget to join our NanoEducators Google group and subscribe to the NNI newsletter to stay up to date about future nanoscience events and resources.
We are looking for volunteers to share a nanotechnology lesson plan they have implemented in their classroom. Reply to this email if you want to present/share at the next session.
Have a nice week!
