Dear All,
Thank you for registering for the NanoEducators Quarterly Forum on May 28!
The group welcomed Huy Pham from Westminster High School in California. Mr. Pham introduced a nanotechnology lesson plan developed for his sophomore biology classroom titled “Biotoxicity: Anti-Microbial Properties of Silver Nanoparticles.” Through this lesson, students learned about the size-dependent properties of nanomaterials while exploring the concept of cellular respiration. Mr. Pham also shared his experience with the Nanoscience Workshop for Teachers at the California NanoSystems Institute and highlighted how his students apply nanotechnology concepts through a variety of STEAM activities and competitions.
The session’s recording, slides, and other resources can be found here. The link also includes recordings and resources from past sessions.
Do not forget to join our NanoEducators Google group and subscribe to the NNI newsletter to stay up to date about future nanoscience events and resources.
Have a nice weekend,
Maria Fernanda Campa
