Hi,

is there a way to use nanopb along with grpc?
It would be great to have generated RPC-Stubs (client and server), running on constrained embedded devices, like ARM Cortex-M!

Has anyone experience?

Thank you,
Richard

Currently there is no RPC support in nanopb, but grpc seems to be
gaining enough traction that it could be sensible to implement now.

I have never been particularly fond of the generic service stubs, as in
my opinion they don't help implementing the actual RPC service at all.
But an implementation specific to e.g. grpc would make more sense.

Yes, grpc support would be really great.
NanoPB is integrated in the official grpc repsitory as 3rdparty library:
https://github.com/grpc/grpc/tree/master/third_party/nanopb

But that doesn't mean, that NanoPB can be used along with grpc or does it?
