Hi,

I have a development environment on Windows 7, but my virtual machine is dying. This could be due to running it on a craptop i5 instead of
running on my old iMac with an i7 like I did before the iMac died. Are there any written instructions for setting up a development on Linux so I can use WindIDE
to debug? I have lots of code changes I want to port for my version of NE-1 and would like to run it on Linux. If anyone wants to consider
my changes for the main source I can supply a list of features I have added.

Thanks,

-bruce

I would like to continue working on NE-1, specifically the installer for Linux rpm/Deb/snap.

Sadly, all the http://www.nanoengineer-1.net pages are gone. They have been gone for years now.

@Kanzure Should have the wiki, NE-1 version files and dependencies on his server. We should set up on GitLab.

Hi!

Suddenly an old mailing list draws attention. I want to point out that NE development has stagnated a bit. In an attempt to revive the field of nano design and simulation our group went in a slightly different direction. And I think we will be able to attract resources and people and quickly overcome past projects with the goal of actually getting the tools into the hands of tens of thousands of future nanoengineers. Sadly, that wasn't happening with NE-1.

If you want to learn more, check out the presentation below. Feel free to ask questions. And we welcome anyone to the project team, there will be lots of exciting things happening soon, I can promise that!

Yours,
Danila Medvedev
